Doune & Dunblane Show

On another glorious Scottish Summer Saturday we were not only lucky with the weather, but also to be reminded of the breadth of talent within our local SWI. The tent was packed with entries across 29 categories and the quality and standard was overwhelmingly high. Ruskie was privileged to win the Silver Rose Bowl and member Catriona Burnett also lifted the Society Trophy (most individual points). Special prizes were awarded to Pat Anderson, Dunblane (Housewives, Lemon Loaf); Anne Muirhead, Gargunnock (Handicrafts, Tray Cloth); Catriona Burnett, Ruskie (Floral Art) and Janet Iffla, Gargunnock (Pemberton Plate, most points in Handicrafts). Congratulations to everyone who took part – it truly is the members who make the show!
In the Hand Knitting section, Hats & Bootees and 6” squares will be donated to charity – a special thanks to our knitters.
