With Simon Jones, Gardens & Designed Landscape Manager, National Trust for Scotland.
This talk explores three of the most beautiful and renowned National Trust for Scotland Gardens within the West coast of Scotland namely; Inverewe, Arduaine and Brodick. Simon will demonstrate how these gardens have managed to grow plants that have no earthly business to thrive whilst being exposed to the forces of the salty Atlantic gales that they find themselves in. These gardens have had to evolve in order to balance history, heritage and the difficulties of gardening in a changing climate.
