We’ll be joined by Sandra Stewart from Thornhill whose business is Farming and Conservation http://www.farmingandconservation.co.uk/

Sandra is a chartered environmentalist with 25 years’ experience providing practical integrated advice on farming and wildlife, habitat and landscape scale management to farmers, land managers, conservation organisations, government departments and developers.

She is particularly interested in peatland restoration and in pollinators (such as bumblebees, honey and solitary bees) and right now both are high up the political agenda.

Currently she is contracted to Forth Rivers Trust working with landowners to undertake Natural Flood Management on the Allan Water. The talk at Ruskie will focus on this work and Sandra will tell us about the “Birds and the Bees Project” which she has just started working on.
